Digital printing is also known as DTG or direct to garment printing and involves using a digital printer to apply ink directly onto the T-shirt that you’re customising. It’s a relatively new type of printing and has gained popularity in recent years largely because of the technical improvements in digital printers. Digital printers are really large (ours measure 2.9m x 2.1 m x 1.7m and weight in at a whopping 2200 kgs each) and can handle a myriad of designs in all sorts of colours. A digital T-shirt printer works in a similar manner to the inkjet printer sitting on the desk in your office. The digital printer translates the graphics file or digital image directly on to your blank tee. Our DTG printers use water-based inks which gives them a retail quality. Eco-friendly and biodegradable, the inks meet industry standards. On dark T-shirts, the prints sit on top so you can feel them whereas, on white or pastel shades, the ink goes almost into the fabric leaving it feeling very soft to the touch. The DTG method is precise, which allows us to produce a single T-shirt with a retail quality, at an extremely low price point.
