A brief history (yes, stubby’s have history too)

Now there are plenty of different names for stubby holders. Abroad they’re known as Koozies and can coolers. In Australia, “Stubby holder” comes from the term “stubby” which is used to describe smaller, stubbier bottles of beer like VB. Some say stubby coolers were first invented in the 1980s, when they were made purely from polystyrene foam. They were large and awkward and often didn’t hold the drink very well. The poor manufacturing technology at the time meant stubby’s were made in a one size fits all approach… a method which in no way would suffice today with the many varieties of bottles and beverages out there. It’s less than ideal having your drink bounce off the stubby holder walls now isn’t it?

All three options are made out of 5mm neoprene, with glued and stitched seams and a glued-in base (if that is your preference).
